Communities of Prayer

  • Devotional Committee
    • The purpose of the Devotional Committee is to:
      • Promote a spirituality of communion by developing and coordinating forums, pilgrimages and structures for devotional life
      • Create and implement a plan of vocational promotion, promoting vocations to the priesthood and consecrated life, vocations to the laity and other forms of vocatinal associations
      • Promote the true meaning of marriage and the family as a fundamental Catholic institution, through family prayers, pilgrimages and other activities.
Membership is open to all registered parishioners.
  • Rosary Altar Society
    • Rosarians are dedicated to fulfilling the primary purpose of the society:

To praise and honor the Blessed Virgin Mary and to secure her patronage by the recitation of the Rosary for the mutual spiritual benefit of all the members hroughout the world.

Members meet on the first Monday of the month, following the 8:00 pm Novena Mass.  The society sponsors a Children's Rosary Instruction program, a Christmas season "adopt a family program", and the annual May Crowning of Mary.  Rosarians are responsible for the cleaning of the sanctuary and all implements used during the Mass.
  • Men's Prayer Group
    • Being a good husband and father is no easy task.  Some men within our parish have found camaraderie in the Men's Prayer Group.  The group meets at 7:30 AM on Saturday mornings.  Meetings include prayer, meditation and discussion of the reading for the upcoming Sunday.  The meeting concludes at the 9:00 AM Saturday Mass.
  • Small Christian Communities
    • Small groups of ordinary parishioners who meet once a week in participant's homes.  Their ultimate goal is threefold:
      1. To connect their faith by listening to each other, sharing with and seeking to know each other.
      2. To allow the Sunday liturgy to become a more intrinsic part of their daily lives, relating it to today's realities.
      3. To open their hearts and minds to the Spirit through the scriptures in order to apply God's word in their daily lives.
  • Sacred Heart Prayer Group
    • This group meets on Tuesday night.  A typical meeting includes worshipping God is song, sharing from scripture, sharing personal testimonies on God's work in people's lives, and prayers over people for healing of any type.
Sacred Heart Prayer Group also sponsors annual "Life in the Spirit" eminars and a healing Mass.
  • Nocturnal Adoration Society
    • The Nocturnal Adoration Society offers a unique opportunity to be in the presence of Jesus at a time when ther are no distractions, to meditate on His passion, death and resurrection; to pray with Him to our Father; and to receive the strength of the Holy Spirit to continue His mission of love and compassion,.  The society is an answer to Jesus' plea on the night before His death, "Could you not spend one hour with me?"  Prayers before the Blessed Sacrament are offered every third Saturday of the month.  The Vigil begins at 9:00 PM on Saturday and ends at 7:00 AM Sunday, concluding with Benediction.  Interested individuals are encouraged to pray with society at any hour, even if there is no intention for formal membership.
  • Legion Of Mary
    • The purpose of the Legion of Mary is two fold:  The spiritual development of its members and advancing the reign of Christ through Our Lady.  Members participate in the life of the parish through spiritual and corporal works of mercy which include: Home visitations with the Pilgrim Virgin Statue, Enthronement of the Sacred heart of Jesus in th homes of families, visits to the sick, elderly and homebound of the parish, Roasry makers groups and more.
