Marriage Alive

Marriage Alive is a program at St. Patrick's parish devoted to the growth and development of good marriages.  In the face of all the pressures, distractions and stresses of today's society, Marriage Alive offers a safe haven for couples to develop thier relationship with themselves and other couples.  Below is an outline of what the program can offer.  There is also a short history of how the program came to be and it's effect on the lives of some of our parish families.

Marriage Alive

A Marriage Enrichment Program

The mission of the Marriage Alive Program is to help good marriages grow in many ways.  Five or six married couples join together in groups.&bsp; The groups meet at a couple’s home in a relaxed atmosphere to discuss topics relevant in Christian marriages in today’s society.

The program gives couples the opportunity to learn more about each other and the special relationship they have with each other and with God.

By participating in monthly gatherings, each couple’s individuality and uniqueness are enhanced by the supportive sharing and caring of the other couples.  Our mutual values of marriage and family are reinforced.

Through the support of a loving Christian Community, we are reminded that we are not alone.  Our marriages can be strengthened as the love we share as a couple continues to grow.

The greatest gift we can give our families is by strengthening our relationship by trying to follow Jesus’ commandment.

"LOVE ONE ANOTHER AS I HAVE LOVED YOU"

The "Marriage Alive" program sets aside "couple time" to:

  • Relax and Laugh
  • Share and Discuss Family Values
  • Learn More About One Another
  • Grow as a Couple
  • Make New Friends
