Baptism

Congratulations! The birth of a child is a Resurrection experience in that it raises the lives of parents to a new level of love. The Parish family of St. Patrick shares your joy at the arrival of your new child and is delighted to welcome this new parish member.

Arranging for your Child’s Baptism

In order to arrange for a baptism, please follow these steps:

  1. If you are not registered in the parish, please fill out the online Parish Registration Form available here on our website. If you grew up in our parish and are now starting your own family, we ask that you register as a new family.
  2. Fill out and submit the online baptismal information form (see below.) If you prefer to print the form, a printable version is available below. If you are having more than one child baptized, please fill out separate forms for each.

When choosing godparents, please keep in mind:  Godparents must be active Catholics, at least 16 years of age, who have received all the sacraments of initiation (Baptism, Communion & Confirmation.)  Only one godparent is required. If you choose to use two godparents, one must be male and one female.  A non-Catholic baptized Christian may act as a Christian witness as long as there is one Catholic godparent.

After your forms are submitted, you will be contacted by a parish representative who will assist you in booking the date of your child’s baptism and answer any questions you may have. Please enter phone numbers and email addresses where you can be easily reached. Parents also need to attend a baptismal class that will take place on a Thursday evening. Our parish representative will also go over upcoming dates for the baptismal class. On the day of the baptism, we ask that you arrive at the church by 1:15 PM.

Thank you for welcoming Christ into your child’s life. May God bless you in your role as a parent.
